The CAM System was designed by prof. Mauro Dolce, at the University of Basilicata, and by Roberto Marnetto, Head of the Research and Development of TIS SpA, Rome, after the Umbria-Marche earthquake of 1997 where the serious shortage of traditional seismic strengthening systems was highlighted.
The CAM system was patented in 1999 and is owned by TIS Spa; EDILCAM Sistemi srl has the exclusive for implementation of CAM system throughout the Italian country.
Alhambra srl is a consultant for strengthening design with CAM system.
The CAM system immediately met the support of technicians and administrations. This success is consequent to its numerous direct and indirect benefits.
